There are many opportunities to choose from these days. After I
was released from my employer I was like many other people
searching for a way to support my family. I almost gave up when
I decided to look for a "work from home base business." After
all, I was able to be at home when the children came home from
school each day. After thinking about it for a while, my mind
was made up and I was gonna go for it. Not knowing anything
about running a business, I jumped in head first and got the
shock of my life.
When I found my home base business I was expecting to get payed
on friday the way that I had gotten use to. Forgetting that I
was on my own now was a scary feeling, however, I learned very
quickly how valuable time really was. Here are 3 things that I
found out immediately:
- Procrastination:
There is no time to procrastinate if you want a work from home
base business. Delaying a task could be the difference between
eating or not eating. This is when I took my business serious! I
realized that when there was work to be done there was no time
for delay. This is the reason why you should have a plan written
out each day of the week. There has been many opportunities lost
because of procrastination.
- Scheduling:
It is vital to make a schedule. Having a list of details will
keep you focused on the day at hand. It is a good habit to have
this filled out the day before. When you wake up to start your
day, your plans will already be in place for you. It is easy to
get distracted because of incoming emails and so forth. Checking
your emails at the beginning of your day and again as you take
breaks work for some. However, others start off checking their
emails and get lost for hours clicking around getting nothing
done. This is why you should have a schedule if you decide to
have a work from home base business.
- Persistence:
Without endurance there is no need to pursue a career such as
this. Much of your time will be spent laying a foundation for
the future. Being persistent do have its benefits. Many people
are now enjoying the fruit of their labor from the seeds that
was planted years before. If you endure, you will receive the
rewards also. Every day could be just one step toward your
goals. Being persistent is not something that is learned in a
week or two. This is a continued process that never ends.
It was not easy when I first started my home based business.
But as I began to follow these 3 steps, things started to become
easier each day. I would wake up early and not procrastinate.
Then I would follow the schedule for that day to keep me on
track. By being persistent everyday, there was no way I could
lose. You can have that same success if you never give up.
