Many companies hold liquidation sales and clearances on a regular basis.
There, you can find products at amazing prices. However, you won't be
able to enjoy the benefits of a lucrative liquidation if you don't know
where the next liquidation sale is located.
Here are some ways to keep yourself in the loop.
Keep Up with Your Favorite Stores
Have a fave place to shop? Want to know if they are having any kind of
liquidation events? Make sure you periodically visit their website. Many
businesses will list liquidations online to encourage people to come into
their stores. You can also make sure you drive by the operation once in
a while. Typically, liquidations are advertised with large banners to
attract foot traffic and remind people of dates.
Get a Local Paper
Often, liquidation sales are listed in your local papers. This includes
free community shoppers and other smaller printed publications. Make sure
you don't just look for huge liquidation ads; sometimes, liquidation sales
listings are "hidden" in the classifieds section. If you're
a really frugal person, borrow yesterday's paper from your neighbor; that
way, you won't have to spend a dime to find out what liquidation events
are coming up in your town. (Of course, you might want to bake that person
a plate of cookies as a way of saying thank you!)
Tell Your Friends You're On the Lookout
If you want to find liquidation sales in your region, make sure you tell
plenty of people that you're interested. After all, the more people who
know that you're on the lookout, the more chance that you'll get "insider
information" regarding the next big liquidation closeout. Again,
you don't have to be pushy; just mention to your acquaintances that you'd
love to know about any liquidations they know about. Then, the next time
the phone rings, it could be a tip as to a liquidation near you!
Mention Your Interest to Sales Clerks
You can even ask the sales staff at your local stores if they're having
any liquidation events in the near future. It's in their best interest
to let you know, so they'll probably be very forthright about when the
next liquidation sale will be. That way, you can mark your calendar well
in advance of the next liquidation.
Don't Forget about the Internet!
You can even find website liquidation clearances if you type in "liquidation"
and "sale" into any of the popular search engines. Then, you'll
be able to see a bevy of liquidation possibilities from all around the
world. Imagine being able to take advantage of a Japanese manufacturer's
liquidation event from the cozy comfort of your New England living room!
Truly, cyberspace has changed the ease with which liquidation events can
be found. And both you and the seller will benefit from your interest.
Remember that you don't have to rely on chance to find out about the liquidation
events that are coming to your town. By being a little observant and creative,
you can snatch up some terrific deals at the next big liquidation sale.!
