Web coupons work with your online ordering system to let customers
take advantage of special offers. They can be created almost
instantly without cost and are available immediately. They
can be given expiration dates and access codes which restrict
certain coupons to customers who know their code. They can
be sent by email or posted on a website.
Here is an innovative way to take advantage of the flexibility
of web coupons: Create coupons that will contribute towards
a customer's favorite charity, rather than just offering a
discount or free item.
For example, you can create a 2 pizza deal web coupon that
lets the customer purchase two large double topping pizzas
for the same price you would normally charge, but will contribute
50 cents towards a local church. It is a simple matter to
create one or more such web coupons for each church, school,
or other charitable organization in your community and assign
each coupon its own special coupon code.
The local charities who participate in this promotion would
become involved in getting the word out by publicizing the
special coupon codes and your website, where they can be used,
to their members.
You can keep a running tally of the coupon orders for each
participating charity and send them a check for the correct
amount at the end of each month.
This is a win-win situation for all concerned. You benefit
from the promotional efforts that the charity provides and
from the goodwill of your local community. The charity gets
a regular contribution whose size depends on its own efforts
in promoting your offer and has a fun and innovative way for
its supporters to contribute.
With web coupons, you can control when they are available.
They can be included in an email, so if the charity has an
email list, the coupon code and your web address can be sent
by email to its membership or announced in its email or printed
newsletter.
The charity may also put a link from their own website to
your online order page, with the coupon code included. This
lets their members go directly to your online order page with
the coupon code pre-selected and available to use.
Supporting your local community churches, schools or other
non profit groups has long been a recognized strategy for
maintaining good relationships and good business. With flexible,
online coupons, you have a simple way to make this work for
both you and your community.
