The
First step to getting targeted visitors is knowing your market.
You have
to know what age group and kind of people may be looking for your product or service.
For example if you are selling porn you would not want to buy a link on a toysrus.com.
If you were selling webmaster tools you would want to buy a link from a web hosting
company. After you do some research and figure out what your market is and there
average age group then you go to phase 2.
In phase 2 you seek out websites that draw visitors in your
market. Request a link exchange or partnership. I think the
best kind of partnership is between 2 community websites were
they both email all of there users and promote there partner
website. The website you are requesting a link to does not
need to be related it just needs to have visitors that will
be interested in your product.
Another way to get targeted visitors
besides buying or trading links is search engines. Google, Msn, and AltaVista
are all popular search engines. Some people no matter how hard they try cant get
good placement on there keywords either because of lack of search engine experience
or competition on a keyword. The solution to that is a PPC search engine. PPC
stands for pay per click and is a search engine were people pay per click and
decide how much they pay. You pick the keyword and how much you want to pay for
each click, which is the freedom PPC search engines offer. Some PPC search engines
include overture, looksmart, and goclick. Many keywords on these search engines
are at 3 dollars or more.
Niche PPC search engines are pay per click search
engines that are specific to a certain area. For example bridalclicks is a ppc
niche search engine that is specific to weddings and more specific brides.
PPC
niche search engines are the ultimate in targeted traffic because anyone who visits
the site would be interested in your product and even more so after they search
for it. Normally niche PPC search engines are very small and don't drive many
visitors but the ROI (return on investment) is normally 10x better than using
any other search engine.
